December 2017 Training Event

Our December 2017 Training Event, Charting the Course for 2018, included three speakers addressing internal audit processes and fraud trends.  Jelena Majkic of Raytheon approached fraud from the internal audit perspective in Combating Fraud: Trends & Techniques.  Ellen Lux of Raytheon spoke to process improvement in internal audit including Six Sigma and Lean in Five Ways to Improve the Process.  Tom O'Reilly from Auditboard spoke on the Practice of Internal Audit, and spoke on effective risk assessments and internal audit processes.  We also collected $335 in donations by cash and check to RI Community food bank along with over 10…

If you need additional CPE credits before the end of the year, the ACFE has some training available, including online self-study, archived webinars and even a couple of classes next week in Las Vegas.  The online self study member pricing ranges from around $69 for two credit classes to around $159 for six credit classes (member pricing).
