The board of directors consists of nine members serving staggered two-year terms. The president and training director must be Certified Fraud Examiners. Directors are elected by the membership in June/July of each year and begin their terms on August 1. Beginning in 2022, the board elects the chapter officers of the board for a one-year term. The most recent past president willing to serve also serves as ex-officio member at the pleasure of the board.
