ACFE Global Fraud Conference Coordinator
Jo Ann McEwen, CFE
Deadline: April 1, 2017
The 28th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference will be held June 18th – June 23rd in Nashville, Tennessee. The main portion of the conference runs June 19th – 21st. For those that have attended the annual conferences in the past, it is a fantastic combination of education, training, and networking not to mention the most effective way to earn your 20 CPE annual credits required to maintain your CFE designation. I have been fortunate enough to be able to attend for the past 7 years and can personally attest to the fact that it is well worth it. I have been to many professional conferences in my career, and this global conference has by far exceeded any others I have attended. From the quality of the trainings and education, to the keynote speaker sessions, professional networking opportunities, and chapter leaders meeting, I highly recommend you consider attending.
If you need any selling points for your employer, I would remind them of how important and sought after the CFE credential is in the fraud industry and how necessary it is to maintain fraud awareness and education in the fight against fraud, especially with the threat landscape companies face today. At a conference group rate of $925.00 for 20 CPE, it works out to be $46.25/CPE credit plus all the additional education you receive. If you do not attend the conference trainings, you have to find ‘other’ far more expensive training opportunities throughout the year to fill the requirements.
Individual Member registration for the main conference portion is $1,250.00. If you register before April 5th you are eligible for a $200.00 early bird discount which totals $1,050.00. Through the Rhode Island Chapter, we often are able to do even better with an additional savings of $125.00 if you submit your registration through us. While this rate is for the main conference only, if you wish to attend the full conference, pre-conference, or post-conference sessions, please let us know as we can providing group pricing upon request.
